Greetings to all at the TVP Emerald Society.
My name is Brian Devereux and i am one of the organisers of the Tom Langan Trophy which Paul very kindly mentioned.
The tournament is a bi-annual event held in memory of Tom Langan who was killed whilst on duty. Tom was an excellent Gaelic footballer himself. The inagural event was held in Dublin and was won by An Garda.
The teams are coming to the UK on the 25th Oct with a reception being held in New Scotland Yard hosted by Sir Ian Blair, i'd love to invite you all but i think the boss may get a tad upset !!
Friday 26th sees two games held in the Met Police Sports Club in Aldenham Road, Bushey, Herts.
Saturday 27th will be the final along with the third place play off. This will also be held in Bushey.
After that the teams go down to the Cumberland Hotel, London for a gala dinner. Again sorry but this is invited guests only.
For those who have never been to our sports club in Bushey it's open to members and guests and you are all our guests for the weekend.
There is a large bar, restaurant and two function rooms which can be hired.
Please feel free to come along and support the event and have a jar or two with us.
There is no charge to come to the event so please come along and enjoy the event.

Look forward to seeing you all there.
I believe Paul is looking at organising a minibus to come along so contact himself for details.

slan Brian Devereux, Hendon Gaels, Met Police.
